Challenge yourself to a 150km ride this summer! This day trip starts and end in Beachburg, but travels along both side of the Ottawa River. Riding the PPJ trail in Quebec we follow the Ottawa River to Fort Coulonge for an amazing lunch at the Bryson Bistro (in a reconstructed barn from the 1800's). Our journey ends crossing the bridges of Portage du Fort back into Ontario and riding scenic back roads to Beachburg. A great way to celebrate and remember Canada's 150th birthday.
Beachburg ON . Meet in Beachburg at our office. (1892 Beachburg Rd). Here you change info your riding gear, fill your water bottles, and make any last minute adjustments of your bike. (Or be outiftted with one of ours).
L'Isle-aux-Allumettes, QC. Off we go - we depart Beachburg and make our way to the newly constructed bridge to Quebec on to Allumettes Island. Here we join on to the Pontiac Pacific Rail Junction Trial and continue by bike to Fort Coulonge. (70km)
Bryson Bistro, QC. A fantastic lunch awaits you at the Bryson Bistro. Enjoy the restaurant's decor and photos as it showcases many relics and historic photos of the logging drive days on the Ottawa River. Lunchincludes all of the following: Soup, Salad, choice of wrap/sandwich, choice of dessert, coffee/tea/soft drink.

Fort Coulonge, QC. We re-connect with the PPJ Trail for an afternoon of scenic riding through rural Quebec crossing back over the Ottawa River to Ontario. The beautiful backroads of Whitwater Region take us back to Beachburg. (80km).
